About Us

Kromet was founded in 1967 as a manufacturer of appliance handles.  From an initial business involving standard handles, Kromet evolved into a custom engineering and manufacturing source for aluminum and steel appliance handles and trim components.

Having developed considerable expertise in the production and design of decorative aluminum extrusions, Kromet diversified into other industries where the combination of engineering, fabrication, assembly, and decoration were required.  Rail interior assemblies such as air diffusers, luggage racks, handles and coat hooks were added to Kromet's portfolio along with microwave trim kits, office furniture system components and solar energy panel frames.

Beginning in 2003, Kromet developed a series of partnerships with Asian companies aimed at creating a globally competitive supply base.  Through constant collaboration and technology transfer with selected manufacturing partners, Kromet is able to offer globally competitive costing along with world class quality and service to customers anywhere in the world.

Kromet operates two wholly owned manufacturing plants in Canada, a trading company based in Hong Kong and has partnerships with an Aluminum manufacturing company, an investment casting manufacturing company and two plastic injection molding companies in Asia.
